We are Australian Probate Lawyers.

We have the legal skills and experience in handling estates of deceased foreign persons with assets in Australia.

We have dealt with overseas executors and overseas beneficiaries with interest in an Australian deceased estate.

We have represented deceased estates from many different jurisdictions including the United Kingdom, the Isle of Man, New Zealand, Poland, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philipines and India.

We recognise that dealing with probate following the death of a loved one can be an emotionally draining and complex process. Hence, we recognise it is important to manage deceased estates with sensitivity to the feelings and needs of family members.

Resealing or Fresh Application for Grant of Probate and Administration

Where applicable, we “reseal” foreign probate and letters of administration for use in Australia. “Resealing” is the process where a foreign grant is validated by an Australian court for use in the applicable state or territory in Australia.

Where resealing is not available, we apply for a new grant of probate and administration for use in Australia for deceased persons domiciled in a foreign jurisdiction. “Resealing” is a cheaper and faster option than making a fresh application for the grant to be issued.

We carry out the transfer and sale of Australian property and Australian shares, the release of bank deposits held in Australia and the collection of other assets on behalf of the deceased estate for distribution to the beneficiaries.

We work with real estate agents and auctioneers with respect to the sale of the assets of the deceased estate. We provide court representation for overseas claimants, executors and administrators in inheritance disputes in Australia.

Practical and Affordable

We are affordable and practical. Our aim is to minimise legal costs for the deceased estate.

We understand that the needs and concerns of overseas clients differ from locally based clients. At each step, we provide an explanation of the applicable Australian law and practices affecting the client’s matter.

We take pride in going the extra mile to secure the best outcome for our client.
